Bringing the mission and values of our work directly to patients

MK&A’s commitment and dedication to patients and patient communities goes beyond the work we do for our clients.  Our firm believes patients and their families should be at the center of healthcare and we work with all stakeholders to ensure this vision.

On Tuesday, August 22, 2017 several members of our staff had the opportunity to bring the core values of our firm and our mission directly to the children being treated at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.

Based on a needs assessment conducted by the hospital, our firm pooled our resources to create gift bags containing essentials for children undergoing treatment for cancer and rare blood disorders. As a member of the team that visited the hospital, this was a truly rewarding experience as we got to witness firsthand how our efforts lightened the experience of patients and their loved ones.  The diagnosis of a child impacts the entire family and this is especially evident when you realize that half the children on the floor are siblings spending the day at the hospital while their brother or sister is getting treatment.

MK&A recognizes our clients and all patient and professional organizations that provide direct support to patients, their families and their caregivers. We would also like to give a special thank you to The Valerie Fund, an organization that provides support for the comprehensive health care of children with cancer and blood disorders, and to the Child and Adolescent Oncology Center of the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, for working with us to make this possible.

The core values of MK&A provide the foundation upon which we work, guiding interactions with our clients, our partners and each other.
