MK&A US/UK will use any personal information that you provide about yourself for the following purposes: (1) for correspondence with you, such as responding to your queries; (2) to look at ways MK&A services can be improved; (3) for financial administration, such as where a payment is made to you or requested from you; (4) for cross-referencing and networking purposes such as connecting or introducing you, in a professional capacity, with others in similar or complementary roles in the life sciences or healthcare sectors, such as by incorporating the information in the MK&A LEAD database.

The following paragraphs describe the various purposes and features for which we might collect and use your personal information. Please note that not all of the uses below will be relevant.

Contact information: We typically collect personal contact information in connection with a variety of activities, including registration, sign-up, purchases, service inquiries, surveys and research. If you provide your contact information to us, this information may be stored under your account profile.

Marketing: You can opt-out from receiving marketing-related communications by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in each such communication. Please note that if you agreed separately with another party to receive marketing communications, you will need to contact that third party (not MK&A) to opt-out.

LEAD Reports: We use publicly-available sources of information to identify individuals as having a certain active or retired role or capacity in a professional organisation. An example would be listing the CEO of a company with their name and contact details. If you object to being included in such reports please contact us.

Financial information: Where necessary to fulfil a service contract with you, we will process payment information that you use to make a purchase, such as credit card and bank details, billing name and address.

Logins: We only process unique login information for those activities that require an account, such as customer, client web registration, or sign-up to features such as a newsletter or webinar. Your login information, especially your password, should be kept confidential, should be unique to using MK&A services and must never shared with anyone else.

Technical information: We may process technical information about the computer system or other technological device (such as your computer’s IP address, operating system type, and web browser type, and mobile device ID’s) that you may be using to access one of our services. We may collect this information through automated technologies such as cookies.

Website traffic: We rely on Google Analytics to analyse general traffic to our website. This records how you arrived at our site, what pages are viewed and some basic information about your computer. We may share your information with our service providers, agents, and clients for these and other lawful purposes or as required by law. This may involve its transfer to countries which do not have data protection laws equivalent to those in the United Kingdom in which case we shall ensure that the information is appropriately protected. We may also share the information with, and obtain further information about you and/or your employees or agents from third parties including credit reference and fraud prevention agencies.
